About Us

Built by people who work in studios

Sessiondesk makes studio furniture for producers and engineers who spend real time in front of their gear. Every desk, rack and acoustic panel we build reflects decisions made by people who've sat in the same chair you're sitting in.

Where Sessiondesk came from

We started as a small team in Europe — sound engineers and carpenters who couldn't find furniture that took both halves of the job seriously. The desks that looked good were badly engineered. The functional ones looked like office furniture. The ones that were acoustically considered were priced for major labels.

So we built our own.

What began as a custom workshop project became a product line when colleagues started asking where they could get one. Almost 15 years later, Sessiondesk ships to over 30 countries and is stocked by major dealers including Thomann and Vintage King — but the team still includes the same carpenters and engineers who built the first desk.

Sound engineers, carpenters, and music lovers

Our team splits between Portugal and Germany. On one side: carpenters and craftspeople who work with certified woods and take finishing seriously. On the other: engineers and producers who know what it means to track a session at 2am and need every cable, monitor and keyboard within reach.

Every product we ship is the result of both halves arguing it out.

Furniture that earns its place in the room

Sessiondesk makes 50+ products across four lines:

  • MODULAR System — configurable desk setups that grow with your studio
  • TAV Series — fixed-format desks engineered for monitoring position and cable routing
  • HOME Series — full studio setups for home and project studios
  • SessionbloX — a modular acoustic treatment system built from reconfigurable panels

Every product ships with assembly documentation and measurement specs. If something needs replacing in three years, the parts are available.

From the people using them

"The ergonomic correctness has relieved pain. Build quality is top notch, and adjustability is genius." — Joe Carrell

"A customized GUSTAV 2.0 fits my exact requirements. The exceptional craftsmanship enhances both workflow and inspiration." — Thomas Lemmer, thomas-lemmer.com

"I designed a custom solution based on the MODULAR System that is acoustically transparent and looks fantastic." — Hannes Bieger, Balance Berlin

Materials we're willing to put our name on

We use only certified woods. Surfaces and finishes are made from organic materials — most are low-odour, low-emission, and safe for long sessions in small rooms.

Where we can leave materials untreated, we do. Where finishing is necessary, we use ecological processes.

Packaging is 100% recycled and designed to be as compact as possible without compromising protection. We've shipped desks across Europe and to the US without a single panel arriving in anything less than perfect condition.
